Women
Charles Bukowski.
Black Sparrow: 1978. Special edition. One of three hundred signed copies. Hardcover in an acetate jacket. Octavo. A few small scrapes on the jacket. A few smudges on the boards. The edges of the boards are tanned and along the bottom edges there are some small cracks. On the first free end paper there are some left over bits of glued on paper. In the gutter between endpapers both at the beginning and at the end of the book there are some smudges. One scratch down the first attached endpaper. Former owner name erased on the page after the endpaper. 290 pages. Very good. Signed.
Bukowski saw life and people for what they were, and that included himself: full of bullshit but graced by talent and desire. So, if you're buying this signed copy to impress that certain lady or make your fanboy friends envious, do it. But, like Hank, don't have any illusions about why.
