Jacket has closed tears, plenty of edge wear and chipping to the edges of the spine. A tiny bit of rubbing to the edges of the boards. Brick-colored boards with black lettering. 134 pages. Book is very good, jacket is good. Signed by Christenberry in black ink on the first free end paper: "For Larry With Pleasure" 
 
Christenberry's family home is Hale County, Alabama, so it's a labor of familial love as well as individual eye that drew him again and again to take photographs looking not at the idyllic image of his home but into the Deep South of roadside signs, houses, and graves just about to be absorbed into the kudzu of oblivion.
