Pynchon's kaleidoscope of U.S. life includes Godzilla, tow trucks, documentary film making, campus college takeovers, feminist ninjas, and remains as fun as fiction can get. The first edition is now a prize because the Oscar-winning zeitgeist film One Battle After Another is based on the novel.
