In Borges' double sense of literature - dangerous in its effect on the mind yet delicate in its expression - Kernan saw new possibilities for his own gothic noir imagery. This book places three of the master's complete stories ("The Book of Sand," "The Library of Babel," and "Borges and I") and some of the classic quotes and poetry beside the photography.
