This book belonged to the author and historian Page Smith and bears the stamp of his signature on the first free end paper. A scarce work from one of the strangest and most profound figures in the history of American feminism, getting her start as a magnetic healer and earning a fortune as a broker on Wall Street, also the first woman to take a run at the White House (with Frederick Douglass as her vice president). Good.
