Avon: 1976. First American edition. Softcover. Scuffing on the edges of the covers. Top corners of both the back and front covers have been bent. A few small smudges on the edges. On the inside of the cover are the scars of a removed sticker. Text is clean. 192 pages. Very good. 
 
Jansson's prose is addictive. Like the sketch lines of a cartoonist its simplicity shows us our dreams and desires. In this case, the dream of Scupltor's Daughter is true. It is Jansson's past: a childhood in a happy family of artitsts living in a beautiful place.
