William S. Burroughs

Other than a dot of a stain on the bottom edge the text block is crisp and clean. 134 pages. Near fine.
The unpublished and legendary manuscript finally got its printing in 1985. It is accompanied by an introduction by Burroughs, taking the task of thinking about Queer with a seriousness bordering on devotion. Burroughs walks on the line between (and then beyond) good and evil in Mexico City: everything is about to be touched by holy light and everything is about to be swallowed up by some world-devouring evil force. All of this while Burroughs' Burroughs-like Lee chases after Allerton with the erotic fury of a deluded mystic seeking a false god. Queer has so much going for it and going on in it it's a slow revelation just how confessional this book is.
"Every country has its own special Shits ... and the sneering Mexican macho is certainly up there when it comes to sheer ugliness.”
