This is the separately-published part II, and conclusion, of the adventures of Jules Verne's indomitable Captain Hatteras, and it's Verne's contribution to the adventure/early sci-fi literature that dreamed of the discovery of the Northwest Passage. Verne, master of invention inspired by the actual, takes Hatteras through active volcanoes, attacking polar bears, and ice palaces.
